Are you struggling to walk in obedience, to answer the call God has put on your life or to live out your faith in a meaningful way? These blogs are for you!
If you find yourself, like me, tossed like the waves of the sea, believing yet not believing that God has set you apart and called you, these blogs on obedience are for you! Obedience beckons us to walk the steppingstones of discipline even when we cannot see results or even when we do not feel like it. Obedience leads us to step into our calling before we have “proof” or even when our faith has waned. Obedience is the foundation of living a faithful life in Christ. Join me on the journey as I unpack what God is teaching me about obedience and the desperate need for in our daily lives.
What's my purpose? Have you ever asked yourself that question? Are you the one who has done all of the personality assessments, and enneagrams to learn about yourself? Do you feel like you were made for something greater? Are you on a quest to uncover your purpose? ...
God is in everything. And lessons about how we relate to Him and how he relates to us are able to be uncovered in all sorts of places. God met me at the beach a few days ago. He met me as I watch a sandpiper scurry around, looking lost, yet trying to catch up. I resonated with the sandpiper. I resonated because I am in constant catch up mode. And it has gotten exhausting. Read and discover what God has taught me about playing catch up through the sandpiper.
I’ve spent a lot of my life running. Running from what I heard God asking me to do. Why? I didn’t have the courage to let go of control and trust that He knew best for me. I wanted to do things my way. I wanted to play it safe. But I missed out on how God could use me with a surrendered heart and life.
I gave up drinking. Not because of a religious mandate or guilt. Not because someone told me I should. I didn’t have to. It was a choice. A choice I made to honor God and honor those who are walking through addiction.
God had a message for me this week about my lack of joy as it related for my quest for independence. Joy comes through dependence on God for all things and in all things.
Faith is a lot like cliff diving. Taking a step off the edge of the known into the free fall of faith. Trusting that God will catch us, and lift us up.
